Terms of Service
Welcome to Circuit Commits. By creating an account or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them — they explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Cancelling is easy, and you can do it yourself. A paid subscription can be cancelled online at any time, in a few clicks, from your billing page. You never have to call us, email us, chat with anyone, or explain why. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.

1. Who can use Circuit Commits (Age & COPPA)
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use this service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not register or submit any personal information. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete that account and information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at info@circuitcommits.com and we will remove it.
If you are between 13 and 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian before using the service, and a parent or guardian must be the one to enter payment information and agree to any paid subscription. By starting a paid subscription, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or guardian has authorised the purchase on your behalf and agrees to these Terms.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Please give us accurate information when you register and keep it current — in particular your email address, because that is how we send billing notices, price-change notices and other important messages about your account.
One account per person. Do not share, sell, or transfer your account or subscription to anyone else. Tell us promptly at info@circuitcommits.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. School data and our ratings are informational only
Circuit Commits provides information about college baseball programs — compiled from publicly available sources — together with our own tier, fit and projection ratings, for informational and educational purposes. We do not publish player rankings or leaderboards. We are an independent platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, or any college, university, or athletics program. All team names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
4. Recruiting features — no guarantees (NCAA & eligibility)
Our recruiting tools (school research, fit and tier ratings, target lists, coach contact directory, outreach templates) are resources to help you organise your own recruiting efforts. They are not a recruiting service, an agency, or a guarantee of anything. Specifically:
- We do not promise, guarantee, or influence whether you will be recruited, contacted by a coach, offered a roster spot, or awarded any scholarship or financial aid.
- Our tier ratings, projected levels, fit scores and cost estimates are opinions and estimates produced by our own models from publicly available data. They are not appraisals, predictions, promises, or financial advice, and they may be wrong.
- We are not involved in any communication, decision, or relationship between you and any coach, school, or program.
- You are solely responsible for understanding and maintaining your own NCAA (or other governing body) academic and athletic eligibility, and for following all applicable recruiting rules. Nothing on this platform is eligibility, academic, financial, or compliance advice.
5. Coaching directory and data accuracy ("as-is")
All information on the platform — including the coaching directory, contact details, school data, statistics, tuition and cost figures, and facility links — is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, gathered from publicly available sources. We do not warrant that any of it is accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
In particular, we cannot and do not guarantee that coach contact details are correct or up to date, that any contact is the right person, or that any message you send will be received, read, or answered. Cost and financial-aid figures are estimates based on published data and will not match what any particular school actually offers you. You use this information at your own risk and should verify it independently before relying on it.
6. Coach accounts
We may offer free verified accounts to college coaches and staff. If you register as a coach, you confirm that you are who you say you are and that you are authorised by the program you claim to represent. We may ask for verification and may refuse or revoke a coach account at any time.
Coach accounts may be used only for legitimate recruiting purposes. Coaches may not use player information for marketing, resale, or any purpose unrelated to evaluating a prospective student-athlete, and must comply with all applicable NCAA and institutional recruiting rules.
Camps posted by coaches. Verified coaches can post their program's recruiting camps on the service. Those listings are written and controlled by the school, not by us. The coach posting a camp is responsible for its accuracy and for running it — including dates, times, location, cost, who attends, cancellations, refunds, and anything sold or collected through a sign-up link. We don't organise, host, staff, endorse, or take payment for any camp, and we take no fee from one.
Registration and payment happen directly with the school through whatever link the coach provides, on that school's own terms. If a camp is cancelled, changed, or isn't what was described, that is between you and the school. Please still tell us at info@circuitcommits.com — we will remove inaccurate listings and can revoke posting access. Camp details are provided on the same "as-is" basis as everything else described in Section 5.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you submit — your metrics, profile details, notes, highlight links and other materials ("your content"). By submitting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you, including making your player profile visible to verified coaches if you choose to make it visible.
You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you have the right to submit it, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies retained in routine backups or as required by law.
8. Our content and intellectual property
The service itself — including our software, design, text, the Baseball Tier ratings, our fit and projection models, and our compilations and arrangements of data — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial recruiting purposes while your account is in good standing.
You may not copy, scrape, crawl, resell, redistribute, publish, or create derivative works from our ratings, models, or database, or use them to build a competing product, without our prior written permission.
9. Emails and communications
The service includes tools that help you draft and send messages to college coaches. You are the sender of those messages and you are responsible for their content and for how often you send them. We are not responsible for anything you send or for how a recipient responds.
We do not send marketing email. We do not send newsletters, weekly digests, promotional messages, or any recurring email. You will not be added to a mailing list.
We will contact you by email only when it is necessary for your account or required by law — for example, advance notice before a price change takes effect (see Section 14), a security or account-access notice, confirmation of your subscription terms when you subscribe, or a reply to a message you send us. Stripe, our payment processor, sends its own payment receipts directly to you.
10. How you must behave (Prohibited Conduct)
To keep this a useful and respectful place, you agree that you will not:
- Spam, mass-message, or repeatedly contact college coaches or staff in an unwanted or abusive way.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other players, families, coaches, or any other users.
- Impersonate a college coach, scout, recruiter, another player, or any other person or organization.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including falsified metrics.
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
- Share your account credentials, or access the service through automated means without our permission.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of NCAA or other recruiting rules.
11. Content removal
If you believe any information on the platform about you, your school, or your program is inaccurate, outdated, or should not be displayed — or if you are a rights holder who believes content infringes your rights — email us at info@circuitcommits.com with the specific page and details. We review removal and correction requests promptly and will remove or correct information where appropriate, at our discretion. We aim to respond within a reasonable time. Coaches and schools may request removal of their contact information at any time.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to that policy. We do not sell your personal information. You may request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, by emailing info@circuitcommits.com.
13. Subscriptions, billing, automatic renewal and cancellation
What it costs. A Circuit Commits membership costs $12.99 per month, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Browsing schools is free and does not require a subscription.
Free trial and automatic conversion. New subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and the payment method you provided is charged $12.99 per month. We disclose this before you enter payment information, and we ask for your express agreement to it at checkout.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each month at $12.99 until you cancel. Each renewal charges the payment method on file on the same day of the month as your original conversion date, or the closest available day in shorter months.
How to cancel. You can cancel online at any time, without contacting anyone, in a few clicks:
- Go to circuitcommits.com/billing, or click Manage Subscription in your dashboard, or use the Manage subscription link in the footer of any page.
- Choose Cancel subscription in the billing portal and confirm.
Cancellation is available online, through the same medium you used to subscribe. We will not require you to call, chat, send an email, or complete any additional step in order to cancel, and we will not obstruct or delay your cancellation.
What happens when you cancel. Your subscription remains active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then. After that it will not renew and you will not be charged again. Cancelling during your free trial ends access at the end of the trial, and you are never charged.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we (through Stripe) may retry it for a limited period and will email you. If the payment cannot be collected, your paid access will be suspended or your subscription cancelled. You will always keep free access to the parts of the service that do not require a subscription.
14. Price changes
We may change the price of a subscription — for example, to reflect increases in our own costs, or when we add substantial new features. If we change the price of your existing subscription, all of the following apply:
- We will tell you in advance, in writing. We will send notice to the email address on your account, in a form you can keep, stating the current price, the new price, the date the new price first applies, and clear instructions on how to cancel.
- We will give that notice within the period required by law. In most cases this means not less than seven (7) days and not more than thirty (30) days before the new price takes effect. Where the law of your state requires a different notice period, we will follow that law instead.
- A price change is never retroactive. It does not apply to any billing period you have already paid for. It applies only to billing periods beginning on or after the effective date stated in the notice.
- You can leave before it takes effect. You may cancel at any time before the new price takes effect, and if you do, you will never be charged the new price. Your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.
- If you do nothing, your subscription continues at the new price from the effective date stated in the notice.
- Where the law requires your express consent to a price change before we may charge it, we will obtain that consent, and we will not charge the new price without it.
Price changes will not be applied in a way that is unfair, deceptive, or inconsistent with what we disclosed to you when you subscribed. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under applicable consumer-protection law.
15. Refunds
Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial refunds or credits for unused time in a billing period — you keep access for the full period you paid for. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@circuitcommits.com and we will review it in good faith. Nothing here limits any refund right you have under applicable law.
16. Third-party services
We rely on third parties to run the service, including Stripe for payments and other providers for hosting, database and email delivery. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card number. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or outages of third-party providers, and links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.
17. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may modify, suspend, add, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the paid service entirely, or make a change that materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email and will not charge you for periods after the service ends.
18. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Circuit Commits and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, or for any lost opportunities, lost scholarships, lost recruitment, lost data, or service interruptions or outages, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any and all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
20. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Circuit Commits and its owners from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising out of your content, your use or misuse of the service, your messages to coaches or other users, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own wrongdoing.
21. Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and your access to the service if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or engage in any prohibited conduct. Except where immediate action is necessary — for example, to protect other users, respond to unlawful activity, or comply with a legal obligation — we will give you notice and, where appropriate, a chance to fix the problem.
If we terminate a paid subscription for reasons other than your breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Closing your account does not by itself cancel a paid subscription, so please also cancel through the billing portal.
22. Dispute resolution and governing law
Let's talk first. If you have a problem, email us at info@circuitcommits.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Most issues can be sorted out this way.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Choosing a governing law does not limit any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of the state where you live. Either of us may always bring an individual claim in small claims court.
Nothing in this section prevents you from filing a complaint with a government agency, or from exercising any right you have under the consumer-protection laws of your own state.
[OWNER TO-DO: if you want a binding arbitration clause and class-action waiver, that is a separate decision with specific drafting and notice requirements. Discuss it with your lawyer rather than adding one informally — a defective clause is worse than none.]
23. Notice for California residents
California subscribers have specific rights under California's Automatic Renewal Law. In summary: we disclose our automatic-renewal terms clearly before you pay; we obtain your affirmative consent to those terms; we send an acknowledgement after purchase that includes the renewal terms and how to cancel; you may cancel online at any time through the billing portal without speaking to anyone; and we give advance notice before any price change takes effect, as described in Section 14.
Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to the following consumer rights notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes — including changes to pricing, billing, or cancellation — we will update the effective date above and notify you by email to the address on your account before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel your subscription as described in Section 13.
25. General terms
Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and the unenforceable provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
